Opening Reception and Open House

This coming Saturday, June 1, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., is our Group Exhibition and open house.  We will be featuring over thirty artists, whose art ranges from painting to pastels and sculpture to fine art photography.

Not only is this event great exposure for the artists we represent at Thornwood Gallery, it is also a terrific opportunity for everyone that walks through the doors to see a medley of fine art.  Nearly every week new work comes into the gallery as pieces leave finding permanent homes.  This creates a constantly rotating and changing exhibition, keeping it interesting and exciting for our patrons.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day is less than a week away.  If you don't already have a gift in mind, what do you plan to buy your mom for Mother's Day?  Haven't the slightest idea!?  Worry not my friend, we have the perfect solution here at Thornwood Gallery in Houston for even the most discerning moms out there.
Commemorate this Mother's Day with something special and unexpected, perhaps with a painting or sculpture by one of our many artists.

Aries Maple, by Carol Alleman, bronze sculpture
Red Clouds, by Kim Coulter, oil on panel
Garden Door, Noah Desmond, oil on canvas

Night View of Provence, Myung "Mario" Jung, oil on canvas

In addition to painting, two of our artists also create stunning pieces of jewelry.  Italian artist, Lucia Sarto delicately hand paints each medallion, while Sabine Stromeyer travels the world collecting  stones, in order to assemble these bits together to form unique works of art for her jewelry.
